Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shimla Branch Conducts All India “Bharat Ko Jano” Written Screening Test 2026

Shimla, August 2, 2026: Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shimla Branch, today organized the All India Bharat Ko Jano Written Screening Test 2026 at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Him Rashmi Campus, Vikas Nagar, Shimla.

Sharing this information, Mr. Lalit Chaudhary, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shimla Branch, said that the Bharat Ko Jano competition is one of the flagship national quizzes organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad for school students. The competition aims to enhance students’ knowledge of India’s rich history, culture, geography, heritage, and contemporary development.
He stated that the competition is conducted in two categories: Junior Category (Classes VI to VIII) and Senior Category (Classes IX to XII). The competition begins at the branch level and progresses through the State, Regional, and National levels. Participants are tested on subjects including Indian history, culture, religion, philosophy, science, sports, and current affairs.
The primary objective of the competition is to familiarize students with India’s glorious past and remarkable progress while fostering patriotism, moral values, and a strong sense of national pride.
A total of 700 students from 30 schools participated in the written screening test conducted at the Shimla Branch level.
Based on merit in the written examination, 12 students from six schools in the Junior Category and 12 students from six schools in the Senior Category have been shortlisted to compete in the Branch-Level Oral Quiz Competition, which will be held on 20 September 2026 at the historic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla.
On the same day, the Branch will also organize the Hindi and Sanskrit Group Song Competition for both Junior and Senior categories at Gaiety Theatre. The competition will exclusively feature patriotic songs in Hindi and Sanskrit.
