Shimla: The District Congress Committee (DCC), Shimla Rural, has constituted a new organisational committee under the guidance of DCC Shimla Rural President Hari krishan Himral and Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Vinay Kumar.
The newly constituted committee comprises vice presidents, general secretaries , advisory board , spokespersons, coperative sarthi and ideolody prahri, office-bearers and a member secretary. Particular emphasis has been placed on greater representation of women, along with maintaining social and caste balance in the organisation.
A notable feature of the initiative is the innovative organisational thinking of DCC Shimla Rural President Hari krishan Himral, who has proposed new roles and responsibilities such as Vichar Praheri, Sahkar Sarthi, Prachar Pramukh and Society Pramukh, among others. Such an organisational experiment is being seen as a new initiative in Himachal Pradesh, aimed at giving the party a more structured and active presence at the grassroots level.
The idea is to involve different sections of society in organisational activities and create a stronger communication network between the party and people. If these newly introduced mechanisms are implemented effectively and work on the ground as envisioned, they could prove to be a significant turning point for the Congress organisation, particularly in strengthening its grassroots connect.
Political observers believe that a well-functioning organisational structure, wider social representation and active participation of women and different community groups could also provide the Congress with an important advantage in the upcoming electoral battles. The initiative, therefore, is being viewed as an effort to give the party organisation a more modern, inclusive and result-oriented approach.
