Shimla Nursing College, Shurala, Shimla, celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2026 with great
enthusiasm and warmth to honour the dedication, guidance and invaluable contribution of teachers in
shaping the lives and careers of students.
The programme was graced by Mr. Mohit Sood, Managing Director, Shimla Nursing College, as the Chief
Guest, along with Dr. Kimi Sood, Secretary, whose presence added significance and warmth to the occasion.
Dr. Krishna Chauhan, Principal, faculty members, staff and students were also present during the
celebration.
The programme was organised by the students of the college, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude
towards their teachers for their continuous support, mentorship and commitment to academic and
professional excellence. The celebration included cultural performances, speeches, interactive activities and
entertaining programmes presented by the students.
The students highlighted the important role of teachers in shaping their academic journey as well as their
professional and personal development. They expressed their appreciation for the guidance and
encouragement provided by the faculty in helping them become competent, confident and compassionate
nursing professionals.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Mr. Mohit Sood, Managing Director, extended his warm wishes to all
the teachers and appreciated their dedication towards nursing education. He emphasised that teachers play
a crucial role in nurturing future healthcare professionals and instilling in them the values of discipline,
compassion, responsibility, professionalism and service to humanity.
Dr. Kimi Sood, Secretary, also conveyed her heartfelt wishes to the teaching fraternity and appreciated the
students for organising the memorable celebration. She acknowledged the sincere efforts of the faculty
members in supporting students throughout their academic and clinical training.
Ms. Krishna Chauhan, Principal, congratulated all the teachers on the occasion and appreciated the students
for their enthusiastic participation. She encouraged the students to always respect their teachers and carry
forward the values and lessons learned from them in their professional lives.
The celebration concluded with a spirit of gratitude, respect and appreciation for the teaching fraternity,
