Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, is celebrating its 11th Foundation Day Week, “अनुवर्धम्” (Growing Step-by-Step Without Stopping), from 28 September to 3 October 2026, marking eleven years of academic excellence, institutional growth and meaningful contributions to legal education, research and community engagement.
The Foundation Day celebrations are being organised by the Student Enrichment Cell of the University and aim to provide a vibrant platform for academic, cultural, literary, creative and co-curricular engagement. Throughout the week, a wide range of activities will be conducted by various Centres, Cells, Committees, Clubs and other University bodies, encouraging active participation from students, faculty members and staff.
The celebrations are designed to showcase the diverse talents, achievements and aspirations of the HPNLU community while reinforcing the University’s commitment to holistic education and all-round student development. Through competitions, interactive sessions, cultural programmes, literary activities and other events, participants will have opportunities to learn, collaborate, compete and celebrate the shared spirit of the University.
The Foundation Day Week also serves as an occasion to reflect upon the University’s journey since its establishment, acknowledge the milestones achieved over the years and reaffirm its dedication to excellence in legal education, innovative research and social responsibility. The theme “अनुवर्धम्” symbolises the University’s continuous pursuit of growth, progress and academic distinction.
The 11th Foundation Day celebrations reflect HPNLU’s continued commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, creativity and community engagement. Through this week-long celebration, the University seeks to commemorate its journey of growth and achievements while reaffirming its vision of nurturing socially responsible legal professionals and advancing quality legal education in the country
