12 October 2026 | Samirpur, Hamirpur:
Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur set an example of active participation in the BJP’s organisational activities by taking up the responsibility of Panna Pramukh for Booth No. 7 of Samirpur Mandal. Mandal President Abhayvir Lovely formally entrusted him with the responsibility in the presence of party office-bearers and workers.
Mandal General Secretaries Hitler Thakur and Sunil Dogra, District Vice President Chaman Thakur, District Council member from Badhani Ward Rajni Devi, Mandal Vistarak Anil Dhiman, and other office-bearers and workers of Samirpur Mandal were present on the occasion.
Anurag Singh Thakur said the Bharatiya Janata Party is a party of dedicated workers, and its greatest strength lies in its strong organisation and the commitment of workers who serve at the grassroots level. In the BJP, the importance of a responsibility is not determined by the seniority of a position, but by dedication to the organisation, a sense of duty and commitment to public service.
He said that even the most senior leaders in the BJP remain actively connected with organisational responsibilities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have also played active roles in organisational work at the booth level during their political journeys. This tradition distinguishes the BJP from other political parties and reinforces the belief that every organisational responsibility is equally important.
Thakur said the role of a Panna Pramukh goes far beyond a single page of the electoral roll. It serves as a vital link between the party and the public. A Panna Pramukh maintains regular contact with families and voters in the assigned area and conveys their concerns, expectations and suggestions to the organisation. The responsibility also includes engaging with voters beyond election periods, spreading awareness about public welfare schemes of the Central Government and communicating the party’s vision to people.
He emphasised that every BJP worker is the backbone of the organisation, while a strong booth structure forms the foundation of the party’s strength. By personally assuming the responsibility of a Panna Pramukh, he said, the message is clear that no organisational assignment is small. Every worker must discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, discipline and dedication.
