Shimla, July 31: Newly appointed Himachal Pradesh Congress Social Media Department Chairman Rohit Vats Dhami met Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Vinay Kumar and AICC Himachal in-charge Rajni Patil at Himachal Sadan in New Delhi on Friday to express gratitude for entrusting him with the new responsibility.
Dhami said discussions focused on modernizing the party’s social media organization, expanding its digital outreach, and effectively communicating the Congress ideology and the state government’s welfare initiatives to the public. Strategies to strengthen the social media network down to the booth level, increase youth participation, and enhance digital engagement between the party and the people were also deliberated.
He said social media has become a vital platform and would be used to effectively highlight the party’s ideology, government policies, developmental initiatives and public welfare issues while ensuring better coordination among party workers.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the growing importance of social media and stressed the need for fact-based, positive and public-oriented communication to further strengthen the organization.
HPCC President Vinay Kumar said the Social Media Department would play a key role in taking the party’s message to the people and that its activities would be expanded across the state.
The meeting also reviewed current political issues, organizational activities, public outreach campaigns and the party’s future strategy.
