Over 70 People Join Congress in Shimla Rural Under Organisational Expansion Drive: Vikramaditya Singh

Shimla, July 31: Himachal Pradesh PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh said the Congress party is rapidly expanding under its organisational outreach programme, with more than 70 people joining the party from the Shimla Rural Assembly constituency on Friday.

Welcoming the new members at Rajiv Bhawan, he said Congress is a strong ideological force committed to the unity and development of the country and the state. Referring to the alleged NEET paper leak issue, he claimed it had severely affected the future of students and criticised the Union Government over its handling of student protests. He urged party workers to unite against what he described as injustice.

Shimla Rural District Congress Committee president Hari Krishn Himral said Shimla Rural has emerged as a model of development under Vikramaditya Singh’s leadership and that the Congress organisation continues to strengthen in the constituency.

Several Congress leaders and office-bearers, including Amit Nanda, Rohit Thakur, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and other senior workers, were present on the occasion.
