BJP Workers Must Organise Monthly Protests on Public Issues in Every Mandal, Strengthen Booth-Level Organisation and Gear Up for 2027 Assembly Elections: Dr. Bindal

Kullu: Bharatiya Janata Party Himachal Pradesh State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, while addressing an organisational meeting in Kullu, called upon party workers to work with renewed energy, dedication and determination in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that the real strength of an organisation is not demonstrated merely through meetings and office activities, but through its active participation in addressing public grievances, standing with people in difficult times and raising their concerns effectively.

Dr. Bindal said that the countdown to the 2027 Assembly elections had begun and every single day was important for strengthening the organisation. He emphasised that indoor meetings alone would not bring the desired results and that party workers must actively engage with people at the village, panchayat, mandal and booth levels.

He directed that every mandal should organise at least one effective public demonstration every month, while various party morchas should also conduct regular protests highlighting issues of public concern.

Dr. Bindal said that people across Himachal Pradesh were facing numerous difficulties due to damaged roads, closure of educational institutions, shortage of doctors and medicines in hospitals, rising electricity bills and inadequate basic facilities. BJP workers must raise these issues alongside affected residents and ensure that public grievances receive the attention they deserve.

He said that wherever roads are damaged, schools have been closed or health institutions are functioning without adequate medical staff, BJP workers should organise peaceful public demonstrations to demand corrective action. He instructed mandal office-bearers to prepare advance plans for their next three demonstrations and ensure meaningful public participation rather than treating such programmes as mere formalities.

The BJP State President also emphasised the need to strengthen the Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Kisan Morcha, Scheduled Caste Morcha, Scheduled Tribe Morcha, OBC Morcha and other organisational units. He said that every morcha must play an active role in raising public issues and expanding organisational activities at the grassroots level.

Highlighting the importance of digital communication, Dr. Bindal said that social media had emerged as a powerful platform for public engagement and political communication. He directed that an active IT worker should be ensured at every polling booth and that booth-level WhatsApp groups must remain functional and regularly updated.

He called upon party workers to actively engage with the BJP’s official social media platforms and share information about government schemes, developmental achievements and issues affecting local communities. He also encouraged the preparation of factual videos, reels and other digital content highlighting local problems and public concerns.

Dr. Bindal said that organisational discipline, regular meetings and accountability were essential for strengthening the party. He directed that district-level meetings should be held during the first week of every month, mandal meetings in the second week, Gram Kendra meetings in the third week and booth-level meetings on the last Sunday of the fourth week.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, should be heard collectively at the booth level, followed by discussions on local political and organisational matters.

Referring to the proposed programme of Union Minister and former BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda in Kullu, Dr. Bindal said that his guidance would provide fresh enthusiasm and motivation to party workers. He called upon district and mandal office-bearers to ensure substantial participation and fulfil their organisational responsibilities effectively.

Dr. Bindal said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government had undertaken unprecedented developmental initiatives for Himachal Pradesh. He highlighted the expansion of rural road connectivity under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, construction of permanent houses for economically weaker families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the establishment of AIIMS Bilaspur as major achievements benefiting the people of the state.

He said that BJP workers must communicate the benefits of Central Government welfare schemes and developmental initiatives to every household.

Launching a sharp attack on the Congress Government, Dr. Bindal alleged that the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led administration had failed to fulfil several major promises made to the people before the Assembly elections.

He said that the Congress had promised ₹1,500 per month to women, employment opportunities for youth, 300 units of free electricity, procurement of milk at promised rates and several other guarantees. However, he alleged that the government had failed to meet public expectations on these commitments.

Dr. Bindal said that the Congress Government assumed office in December 2022 after promising ₹1,500 per month to eligible women. Calculated over 48 months, this amounts to ₹72,000 per eligible beneficiary. He demanded that the State Government disclose how many women had actually received benefits under the scheme and how many eligible beneficiaries were still awaiting assistance.

Expressing concern over the healthcare situation in Himachal Pradesh, Dr. Bindal alleged that patients were facing serious difficulties due to treatment-related and payment issues under schemes such as HIMCARE and Ayushman Bharat.

He questioned the government over the shortage of doctors, inadequate availability of medicines and difficulties faced by patients seeking treatment at government and empanelled healthcare institutions. He demanded immediate corrective measures to improve healthcare services across the state.

Dr. Bindal further alleged that rising electricity bills, closure of educational institutions, reduction in public services and increasing financial liabilities had created widespread dissatisfaction among the people. He said that the Congress Government must provide a clear account of its electoral guarantees and explain its management of the state’s financial resources.

The BJP State President said that the 2027 Assembly elections would be an important opportunity to determine the future direction of Himachal Pradesh. He emphasised that electoral success required strong booth-level organisation, dedicated workers, continuous public engagement and effective coordination among all organisational units.

He said that every BJP worker must understand their responsibility and contribute towards strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

Dr. Bindal called upon party workers to remain connected with the people, listen to their grievances, highlight the achievements of the Central Government and demand accountability from the Congress Government regarding its unfulfilled electoral promises.

He expressed confidence that through the collective efforts of dedicated party workers, organisational unity and public support, the Bharatiya Janata Party would emerge victorious in the 2027 Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections and once again place the state on the path of development, good governance and public welfare.
