DCC Shimla Grameen today observed 8th October 2026 as Black Day in the History of India by protesting at DC Office Shimla against illegal detaintion of our Leaders Rahul Gandhi , Priyanka Gandhi and other senior leaders from Akashvani Bhawan and misbehaviour by Delhi police with 300 plus MPs who were marching peacefully towards EC Office Delhi in leadership of Congress President Malikarjun Kharge demanding resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar . DCC Shimla workers and office bearers took out march from Congress Office to DC Office Shimla shouting slogans against Vote Chori and demandung arrest of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. DCC Shimla Grameen President Hari Krishan Himral said that this March is being organised at District Headquarters as mark of solidarity with our Congress leaders Malikarjun Kharge , Rahul Gandhi , Priyanka Gandhi and 300 MPs of INDIA Block who were demonstrating peacefully against autocratic decisions of CEC as per directives from BJP, today we are observing 8th October as Black Day . He further added that such processions will continue tbroughout the District at Block and village level till removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar .
