Paper Leak Accused Will Get No Relief; Cases to Be Heard in Fast-Track Courts for Swift and Stringent Punishment: Dr. Rajeev Bindal

Congress Must Explain Why It Marched Towards the Prime Minister’s Residence and BJP Headquarters; It Is Practising Politics of Anarchy, Not Democracy
Congress Is Running Away from Debate in Parliament and Trying to Shame Democracy Through Street Violence and Confrontation: BJP
Shimla: Bharatiya Janata Party Himachal Pradesh President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, while addressing a press conference at the party’s state headquarters, Deep Kamal, today, accused the Congress and its top leadership of undermining democratic traditions and constitutional norms. He said that instead of participating in discussions inside Parliament, the Congress is resorting to street politics, disruption, and confrontation to further its political agenda. Attempting to march towards the Prime Minister’s residence, laying siege to the BJP headquarters, and creating an atmosphere of violence are not acts of democracy but deliberate attempts to challenge constitutional institutions.
Dr. Bindal said that the BJP-led Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully committed to safeguarding the future of the nation’s youth. He announced that the Government has taken another landmark decision to ensure that those involved in examination paper leaks receive swift and exemplary punishment. Fast-track courts will be established to hear all paper leak cases so that trials are completed expeditiously and the guilty are awarded stringent punishment without delay. Necessary directions have already been issued to the concerned departments and authorities to implement this decision.
He said this is another significant step in the series of reforms being undertaken by the Government to protect the interests of students. Reiterating the Prime Minister’s commitment, Dr. Bindal said, “Anyone who attempts to jeopardise the future of our youth will not be spared.” He added that the BJP stands firmly with students and is committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in the examination system.
Dr. Bindal further stated that immediately after the paper leak came to light, the Central Government handed over the matter to the CBI, arrested those responsible, conducted a re-examination, introduced comprehensive technological reforms in the examination system, and has now decided to establish fast-track courts. These measures send a clear message that the law will deal firmly with anyone attempting to compromise the future of students.
Launching a sharp attack on the Congress, Dr. Bindal said that if the party was genuinely concerned about students, it would have participated in constructive discussions in Parliament and offered meaningful suggestions. Instead, it chose to disrupt Parliament, create disorder on the streets, and indulge in political theatrics.
Questioning Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership, Dr. Bindal asked, “Why did the Congress feel the need to march towards the Prime Minister’s residence? Why did it attempt to lay siege to the BJP headquarters? Has democratic protest now been reduced to attempts to breach high-security zones and create political confrontation?”
He said that democracy provides ample constitutional platforms, including Parliament and legislatures, for expressing dissent. However, the Congress has chosen to abandon these democratic institutions in favour of chaos and street agitation, which is deeply unfortunate and harmful to the country’s democratic traditions.
Dr. Bindal further said that the Congress must explain why it is trying to politicise the future of students. While the Government is strengthening the examination system through greater transparency, security, and accountability, the Congress is attempting to exploit students’ emotions for narrow political gains. He asserted that the BJP will never allow such attempts to succeed.
Concluding the press conference, Dr. Bindal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands firmly with the youth and students of the country. The law will take its course, the guilty will face strict punishment, and the Government will continue its mission of building a transparent, credible, and secure examination system. He urged the Congress to respect democratic values, abandon violence and confrontation, and return to the path of constructive debate in Parliament.
