Shimla, 25 September 2026: Rotary Club of Shimla Royal organised a Blood Donation Camp today at Cafe SID, Panthaghati, Shimla, in collaboration with the IGMC Blood Bank Team, which provided the medical team and necessary support for the camp.
The camp witnessed an encouraging response from Rotarians as well as members of the public from Shimla and surrounding areas. As of the time of issuing this press note, 22 units of blood have been collected. The camp was organised as a tribute to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jayanti and in response to the call of Rotary District 3080 to participate in the initiative aimed at creating a World Records milestone through blood donation.
Past District Governor Rtn. V. P. Kalta graced the occasion with his presence. He interacted with the blood donors and Rotary members, encouraged the donors and appreciated the efforts of Rotary Club of Shimla Royal in organising the camp.
Rtn. Pankaj Chauhan, Chairman – Project, made dedicated efforts and took the lead in coordinating the arrangements for the successful conduct of the camp.
President Rtn. Pankaj Dadwal, Secretary Rtn. Satish Chibber, and Treasurer Rtn. Arun Kumar Sharma were present. Other Rotarians and members who actively participated in the event included Vijay Kumar, M. R. Shardia, Narender, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajeev Chauhan, Manoj, Kunal and B. K. Arora.
