Shimla, September 26: AICC in-charge of Himachal Pradesh affairs Rajni Patil has directed the Congress media and social media teams to further strengthen their functioning and effectively communicate the party’s policies and the welfare initiatives of the Congress government.
Addressing a review meeting of party spokespersons, social media representatives, media coordinators and panellists at Rajiv Bhawan here on Friday, Patil said that social media had become an important platform for reaching people and providing information instantly. She stressed the need to use the platform more effectively to highlight the party’s policies and the welfare-oriented work being undertaken by the state government.
Patil also asked party media representatives to effectively counter any misinformation or propaganda being spread by the BJP. She said the media wing had been entrusted with a major responsibility and that every office-bearer must discharge it with complete sincerity and dedication.
During the meeting, Patil also reviewed the functioning of the party’s frontal organisations and departments and sought detailed feedback on their programmes. She issued necessary directions to the office-bearers for strengthening organisational activities and improving coordination.
