Shimla, August 6: The Himachal Pradesh Government has entrusted additional responsibilities to five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle. The Department of Personnel (Appointment-I Section) issued a notification stating that the officers will hold the additional charge of key departments and posts until further orders in the public interest.
According to the notification, Aditya Negi (IAS:2013), who is currently serving as Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL), has been assigned the additional charge of Director, Industries, Himachal Pradesh. Kamal Kant Saroch (IAS:2013), Chief Executive Officer of HIMURJA, has been given the additional responsibility of Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Himachal Pradesh.
The government has also assigned Shubh Karan Singh (IAS:2015), Special Secretary (Education) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, the additional charge of Director, Energy, Himachal Pradesh. Similarly, Shivam Pratap Singh (IAS:2017), Director of Youth Services and Sports, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Managing Director, Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
In another important appointment, Abhishek Verma (IAS:2018), Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh MILKFED, has been given the additional charge of Director, Digital Technologies and Governance, Himachal Pradesh.
The notification, issued by the Department of Personnel, states that all the additional assignments have come into effect immediately and will remain valid until further orders. The order has been issued with the approval of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh in the public interest and has been signed by Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant.
